How do I check whether my driving ban has ended?
Use the GOV.UK service to view the driving record and check the disqualification. DVLA may also send a D27 reminder 56 days before the ban ends, or a D27PH letter 90 days before the end of certain drink related disqualifications.
Can I drive as soon as the end date passes?
Not always. GOV.UK says a driver disqualified for 56 days or more must apply for a new licence. A medical assessment or retest may also be required in some cases. Do not drive until every applicable requirement has been completed.
What if the court date and DVLA record appear different?
Do not choose the more favourable date. Contact the court and DVLA, preserve both records and obtain advice if the discrepancy is not corrected. This checker cannot resolve a conflict in official records.
