1. Controller and contact

NoticeReady Ltd is the controller for personal data described in this notice. Its company number and registered office are shown on this page.

Privacy enquiries and rights requests should be sent to privacy@noticeready.co.uk. General enquiries should be sent to hello@noticeready.co.uk.

2. Free checker and case information

The free checker runs in your browser. Your selected notice type, dates, keeper position, driver position and points estimate are not submitted to or stored by NoticeReady. Evidence files and NoticeReady Case entries also remain in private browser storage unless a feature clearly says otherwise.

Do not enter a name, postal address, vehicle registration, police reference or information about another person into a free checker. You can remove local information by using the delete control or clearing browser storage.

3. Website delivery and security

Our hosting and security providers process limited technical data such as IP address, request time, browser information, requested page, response status and security signals. We use this to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose faults and protect the service.

The lawful basis is our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable service. Technical records are restricted and retained only for the period required for security, diagnosis and provider operations.

4. Optional analytics

Google Analytics is off until you choose to allow analytics. If you consent, it measures visits, landing pages, broad traffic sources, checker events, checkout activity and confirmed purchases. NoticeReady does not send checker answers, document contents or case references to Google.

The lawful basis is consent. You can withdraw consent using the privacy and analytics control on the site or by clearing the relevant browser storage. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before withdrawal.

5. Stripe checkout and purchases

Stripe processes the email address, payment details, payment status, amount, currency, fraud signals and transaction references needed to provide checkout and payment services. NoticeReady receives transaction and status information but does not receive or store full card details.

For completed purchases, the lawful bases are performance of the contract and compliance with legal obligations. Core transaction records may be retained for up to seven years for accounting, tax, fraud prevention and dispute handling.

6. Optional incomplete checkout reminder

Before entering Stripe checkout, you may separately ask for one neutral reminder if you leave without completing payment. The box is optional and unticked. If selected, NoticeReady processes the email address, consent wording version, consent time, checkout session reference and recovery status for that single requested message.

The lawful basis for the email and associated processing is consent. The email does not contain checker answers, allegation details, dates, vehicle information or a case reference. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe instruction in the message or by emailing privacy@noticeready.co.uk. No broader marketing permission is inferred.

An incomplete checkout record is retained only long enough to issue the requested reminder, deal with delivery or suppression, and demonstrate consent. A minimal suppression record may be kept where necessary to respect an opt out.

7. Enquiries and complaints

If you email NoticeReady, we process your contact details and message to answer the enquiry, handle a complaint or protect legal rights. The lawful basis is legitimate interests, performance of a contract where relevant, and legal obligation where applicable.

Routine enquiries are normally removed when no longer needed. Complaint, dispute and legal records may be retained for up to six years where necessary.

8. Professional register access requests

If you request professional access, NoticeReady records your name, work email, organisation, sector, access model, intended use, source page and limited attribution information. We use this to assess suitability, respond to the request, scope access and discuss commercial terms.

The lawful bases are taking steps at your request before entering a contract and our legitimate interests in developing and operating the professional register. Access requests are normally reviewed or deleted after 18 months unless discussions, a contract or a legal obligation requires longer retention.

Material register updates are sent only if you select the separate optional box. You may withdraw that choice at any time by emailing privacy@noticeready.co.uk.

9. Recipients and international transfers

Relevant data may be processed by hosting and security providers, Stripe for payments, Google where analytics consent is given, and professional advisers or public authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data and do not share free checker answers with police, courts, advertisers or law firms.

Some processors may handle data outside the United Kingdom. Where that occurs, NoticeReady relies on an adequacy regulation or approved contractual safeguards and assesses the protection required by UK data protection law.

10. Criminal offence information

The service concerns motoring procedure, but the free checker is designed so that detailed allegation information remains on the device. Payment and recovery metadata must not contain an alleged offence, plea, evidence or other criminal offence information.

If you voluntarily include sensitive case information in an email, NoticeReady will use only what is necessary to respond and may ask you to use a safer or more appropriate route.

11. Your rights

Depending on the processing and lawful basis, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and a right to withdraw consent. The right to object to direct marketing is absolute.

12. Changes to this notice

We update this notice when the service, providers or legal position changes. The effective date appears at the top. A material change affecting consent or a purchase will be presented at the relevant collection point.
