North Wales Police sent 91,067 initial Section 172 information notices in 2025.
The force's internal review confirms a 51.6% increase since 2023. It also discloses that 170,852 notices were printed during 2025. These are document measures, not counts of drivers, prosecutions, convictions or MS90 endorsements.

A Section 172 request creates its own response duty.

The remaining data gap
North Wales Police says it cannot report a separate failure-to-provide-information measure because the originating allegation remains the primary offence in its system. It also says a reminder cannot be treated as evidence of failure because a recipient may respond after receiving it.
That explains why reminders cannot be used as a proxy for prosecution. It does not provide a separately extractable reminder count, so NoticeReady does not infer one from the difference between the two published measures.
