A NIP, a section 172 requirement, a fixed penalty offer and court papers do different jobs. Confusing them can mean applying the wrong deadline or answering the wrong question.
Notice of Intended Prosecution
A formal warning that prosecution may be considered for an alleged offence. It is commonly combined with a separate driver information request.
